TIPS
  • Add extra mayonnaise, if you want to thicken the ranch.
  • Add more buttermilk if you want a thinner consistency.
  • I would recommend letting the dip sit in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to 2h before eating. The flavors will start to come together making it even tastier.
  • After the dressing sits in the fridge for a few days, the buttermilk may cause the liquid to rise to the top. Give it a good stir before serving.
  • Making this for a party or game days? You can easily double or even triple the recipe to accommodate a large group of people.
  • If you are planning on using ranch packets instead of dried herbs, I highly recommend using hidden valley ranch packets for this homemade ranch recipe.
STORING
This easy Wingstop ranch copycat recipe is made up of dairy products such as mayonnaise, sour cream, and buttermilk. So it needs to be stored in a well-sealed. airtight container and refrigerated when not used.
A batch of ranch dressing will easily last for about a week in the refrigerator. Use fresh ingredients to prolong the shelf life.
Also, ensure that the dressing doesn’t sit out for too long since it can get spoilt due to the heat.
FREEZING
I would not recommend freezing it because mayonnaise does not do well in the freezer. If frozen, the consistency and the creamy texture of the ranch may change.
